Affiliate Disclosure

Required reading before you click anything on this site.

The short version

Some links on Leokoo.com pay us a small commission if you buy through them. It doesn’t cost you anything extra. It doesn’t change what we recommend. If a tool isn’t good, we won’t recommend it — the commission rate doesn’t move the needle.

How affiliate links work

When we link to a product and you purchase through that link, the vendor pays us a referral commission. The price you pay is identical whether you click our link or go directly to the vendor’s site. We never receive free products, paid placements, or upfront fees in exchange for coverage — only a standard commission if a purchase actually happens.

What we test and how

Leo has been buying and running software since 2011 — long before affiliate commissions were part of the picture. He manages 40+ client sites and tests tools in real production environments, not staged demos. Reviews are built on the Leokoo Framework: five filters (Jockey, Horse, Cash Flow, Bodoh Deal, Rarity) that a tool must pass before it earns a recommendation.

We also maintain a graveyard — tools we previously recommended that have since declined or been dropped. 50+ tools are in there. If something stops being good, we say so, even if the affiliate relationship remains active.

Does affiliation bias the reviews?

No. Here’s why: the majority of tools we review have no affiliate program, or one we’re not part of. Leo reviews them anyway. More importantly, recommending bad tools to earn a commission is a short-term trade that destroys the long-term value of this site. The readers — agency owners and operators like Alex and Maya who are spending real money in MYR and USD — would stop trusting us, and they’d be right to.

Our reputation is worth more than any commission cheque.

Where affiliate links appear

Affiliate links may appear in reviews, buying guides, and articles where we recommend specific products. Where a post contains affiliate links, we note it near the top of that post. Navigational links (menus, the Digital Marketing Toolbox) may also contain affiliate links.

Programs we participate in

We have affiliate relationships with a range of vendors including hosting providers, SaaS companies, WordPress plugin developers, and deal platforms such as AppSumo. The specific programs change over time; this list is not exhaustive. If you want to know whether a specific link is affiliated, ask us.

Regulatory note

This disclosure is made in compliance with:

  • US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidelines on endorsements and testimonials — 16 CFR Part 255
  • Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) content guidelines
  • EU GDPR transparency requirements, where applicable to EU readers

Questions?

If you have questions about a specific link or relationship, contact us. We’re happy to clarify.
