I’ve been building websites since 1999 — Drupal in 2005, WordPress since 2008 — and these days I run a digital-marketing agency in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, with my wife, looking after WordPress for public-listed clients. I write about where I actually work: WordPress, digital marketing, and AI, and how they come together. Everything here comes from real client work and tools I use on live sites — not things I’ve only read about.

I can’t afford to recommend tools that break — my clients pay for stability. That constraint is behind everything I write here.

What isn’t for sale here

No course, no sales funnel, no affiliate link deciding what I recommend.

There’s nothing to buy on Leokoo.com, and that’s deliberate. There are affiliate links, but they don’t decide what I recommend. I use these tools on real client work, so a bad recommendation costs me the client, not just a commission — I can’t afford to point you at something that won’t hold up. The writing is the whole point, and the work below is what stands behind it.

Track record

1999–2008Started building websites in 1999 with Geocities, FrontPage, Dreamweaver and plain HTML, then Drupal in 2005 and WordPress in 2008. While studying electronics engineering, I built a neural-network OCR — software that reads text from an image — for my 2004 final-year project. My first hands-on with AI.
2008Took a postgraduate diploma in marketing with the Chartered Institute of Marketing. My work has circled back to digital marketing on WordPress ever since.
2015–nowIn 2015 I took NextAcademy’s coding bootcamp on a MAGiC scholarship, picking up Ruby on Rails, then joined the plugin company FooPlugins in 2016. I built affiliate and lifetime-deal sites for a while, but drifted from chasing deals into SEO and the agency. Today most of my work is WordPress for SMEs, some public-listed companies — Ajinomoto, Famous Amos, Ebara, Ogawa — and, as a Christian, a handful of Christian organisations like Scripture Union and FGBMFI.
2023–2024Volunteered at the first WordCamp Asia in Bangkok, co-led the inaugural WordCamp Malaysia in 2023, then led it in 2024.
2025–2027In 2025 I stepped back from leading WordCamp Malaysia to focus on family. On WordCamp Asia I’ve served on the Sponsorship team — organising for Manila (2025) and Mumbai (2026), and now Co-Lead for Penang 2027, with Shahjahan Jewel as Lead.
